"To me, Glenbrook is an excellent camp... amazingly fun, with great outdoor activities! The sleep over is always a blast! I would come again because of the fun things we do and because the people are always REALLY nice, and great to be around! This camp is important to me 'cause of all the friends I have made over the past three or four years!"
-- Kate, 12 years old, Markham, Ontario
At Glenbrook, our programs are all designed to be age appropriate as well as experience specific to certain age groups. In order to ensure our high safety standards there are some programs that have age limits, for example, Mountain Biking and Archery both start at 9 years old. All of our campers are placed in age specific groups according to the age they will be turning by the end of the year. No exceptions to this policy will be made due to safety concerns. Grouping a bunch of friends together may happen naturally if all the children are the same age, however we at Glenbrook feel that going to camp is all about making new friends. We will accommodate a group request for one friend but please ensure that the friend also indicates that they need to be with your child. If both parties do not make the same request then it can not be accommodated.
Our groups are well supervised by excellent staff who have all been carefully selected through an interview process and trained at several different training events prior to the beginning of camp as well as on-going training throughout the summer. The following is a list of our specific Program Divisions as well as the counsellor to camper ratio and group sizes for each.
Primary Division: 3 1/2 to 6 years old - 1 counsellor : 5 campers - maximum 10 campers in group
Junior Division: 7 to 9 1/2 years old - 1 counsellor : 7 campers - maximum 14 campers in group
Intermediate Division: 9 1/2 to 11 years old - 1 counsellor : 7 campers - maximum 14 campers in group
Senior Division: 12 - 13 years - 1 counsellor : 10 campers - maximum 10 campers in group

Trail Blazers Program (7 - 11 year olds)
The Trail Blazers Program is exclusively for our campers aged 7 - 11 years. Trail Blazers includes 1 week at Glenbrook Day Camp and 4 nights at Fraser Lake Camp, our overnight camp in Bancroft, Ontario. This is the perfect opportunity for our Glenbrook campers to experience an overnight camp for a short period of time. Fraser Lake Camp is operated by the same guiding principles as Glenbrook Day Camp, and the same counsellors will accompany your campers to Fraser Lake Camp, along with their friends from their Glenbrook group. At Fraser Lake, they will get the chance to participate in camp-wide Special Events, nightly campfires, kayaking on beautiful Fraser Lake, swamp adventures, mountain biking through the picturesque Fraser forest, visiting our Tree House, and many other exciting opportunities. Transportation to/from Fraser Lake Camp is included in the Trail Blazers Program fee. Please contact the office for more details.
